The Atlanta Beltline hosts a variety of exciting events and activities throughout the year, and Best Friends Animal Society’s Strut Your Mutt event, presented by Bob’s by Skechers, is no exception. Bring man’s best friend for a fun-filled day at Historic Fourth Ward Park this weekend with friends and family, raising money for a good cause.
On Saturday, September 24, dog walkers will join together to raise money and awareness for the more than 9,000 dogs and cats killed each day in America’s shelters. The fun kicks off at 8 a.m. with the fun one-mile or two-mile walks starting at 9 a.m.
Activities and demonstrations will continue until noon when the event ends. Activities for your furry friends include a Smooch Your Pooch Photo Booth with Stephanie Holmes Photography, raffles with great prize packages, Belly Rub Hub presented by Roadie.com, PAWdicures provided by Paw Palace and more.
Activities for the family include field day activities, kid’s crafts, demonstrations, contests, music and much more.
Atlanta’s Strut Your Mutt goal was set at $50,000, a goal that has been more than achieved with the current donations at more than $62,000. Though the Atlanta goal has been met, the national fundraising goal, set at $3 million, is only about halfway there. Consider donating to this worthy cause today.
