LinkedIn continues to grow and serve as a professional social media tool with 380 million members – half of which are more likely to buy from a company that they engage with on the site.

Both individuals and businesses can benefit from integrating LinkedIn to their social media strategy, especially if you are already creating shareable content with a blog. Once content is shared on the business site, employees and friends of the company have the ability to share that post to their followers and extend the reach of that post.

Of social media channels, LinkedIn is considered the more professional outlet with the ability to post resumes, biographies and more. Morgan explains how she uses it for its contact capabilities – if a colleague has a new email address or job, or if the person was someone met in passing where direct information was not exchanged, LinkedIn is an excellent forum to find and make new connections within industries.
