Calling all fans of anime, American animation, comics and gaming! MomoCon is back and better than ever with special celebrity guests and lots of fun! MomoCon is a multi-genre convention for all ages that celebrates comics, gaming, costuming, music, voice acting and visual arts. The convention takes place Thursday, May 25 – Sunday, May 29 at the Georgia World Congress Center (Hall B) and Omni Hotel, Atlanta.
As one of the fastest-growing “all-ages” conventions in the nation, MomoCon has grown from a 700-person on-campus event to the largest event in the southeastern United States for fans of animation, gaming, comics, tabletop games and cosplay. Convention attendees will enjoy meeting writers behind their favorite shows and celebrity voice talents, games, costume contest and an extensive exhibitor’s hall.
Some of the exciting events happening at MomoCon include:
- Live music performances
- 30,000 square feet of space for game developers, vendors and celebrity autographs
- Cosplay/costume contests with categories such as prop making, the spirit of cosplay and best craftsmanship
- A gaming area of over 90,000 square feet dedicated to board games, tabletop games, role-playing games and card games – instructors will be on hand to teach old and new games
- Second largest open game hall in the country – over 300,000 square feet of PC and LAN gaming, arcades, console tournaments, Esports stages, free play, RPGs, board gaming, LARP and card gaming
This year’s MomoCon is thrilled to announce its lineup of special guests featured at the convention! Fans of anime, comics and gaming will recognize the all-star lineup, including:
- Adassa – Well known for playing Dolores in Disney’s Encanto, Adassa is a bilingual Afro-Latin voice actress, singer and songwriter. Adassa has been featured in many popular songs and has performed with Snoop Dogg, Pitbull, Missy Elliot, Flo Rida and Luis Fonsi.
- Darryl “DMC” McDaniels – McDaniels is a Grammy award winner and well-known rapper from RUN DMC. With a passion for comic books, McDaniels created the DMC Franchise publishing three graphic novels, with the fourth planned to release in the Fall of 2023.
- Don Bluth – Thought of as one of the most prestigious animators in the industry, Bluth is an Oscar-nominated producer who has worked on numerous Walt Disney Productions and for 30 years has had his production studio creating features like Dragon’s Lair, The Land Before Time, Anastasia, and Titan A.E.

MomoCon attendees can register for single-day or four-day memberships. Single-day memberships range from $40-55, while four-day memberships range from $85-95 – kids nine years and under are free admission.
