This week’s Deal of the Week is presented by Smith Douglas Homes in conjunction with Fidelity Bank. Together, the metro Atlanta home builder and mortgage lender are hosting a First-Time Home Buyers Workshop at Ballentine Pointe, a new community from Smith Douglas Homes in Hiram.
Held on Saturday, Aug. 9 at 10 a.m., the event is designed to discuss everything buyers need to know before purchasing their first home. In addition, buyers who attend the event and then purchase a home at Ballentine Pointe can receive $5,000 towards closing costs if they write a contract before Sept. 30, 2014.
The workshop will be hosted by representatives from Fidelity Bank and Smith Douglas Homes, and it will cover multiple topics, including:
- Financing
- Why Buy New? Working with a New Home Specialist
- Working with Your Builder
- The Closing
After the workshop, attendees can take part in a question and answer session with a panel of experts from 11 a.m. until noon. The day will be concluded with a lunch catered by The Varsity during a fun block-style party!

At Ballentine Pointe, buyers will find both ranch and two-story floor plans that are priced from the $130,000s. The homes are located on private, wooded home sites and feature spacious plans that have owner’s suites with sitting rooms, guest suites on the main floor, dramatic vaulted ceilings, two-car garages, huge secondary bedrooms and much more. There are several homes currently under construction that will offer move-in dates between now and November. In addition, buyers can choose to be a part of the building process from the ground, up by selecting the home site and floor plan of their choice.
In addition to stunning new homes, Ballentine Pointe is home to fabulous amenities, including a swimming pool, cabana and nature trails.
