Designed by Matt Womack for a large, flat home site, this Southern classic home plan includes 2,800 square feet of expertly designed living space with four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms. In addition, the home’s exterior boasts beautiful windows framed by light blue shutters, cream colored lap siding, a brick water table and a welcoming front porch. The front warm stained wood front door is flanked by two lanterns that greets guests as they arrive at this stunning home.
Downstairs
Guests to the home get a warm welcome with a beautiful foyer which features a warm wood staircase leading up to the second floor, while far end of the foyer opens to the main living area. Lots of natural light is let in throughout the space thanks to an abundance of windows in this open floor plan. A cozy fireplace surrounded by built-ins with a herringbone-patterned brick and white wood mantle is the centerpiece of the great room.
White cabinetry, quartz countertops and a subway tile backsplash contrast nicely with the dark hardwood floors and natural rattan barstools. A continuing theme of natural lighting comes through the windows overlooking the dining room, located just off the kitchen. The home’s custom walk-in pantry makes food storage and organization a breeze, while built right into the kitchen cabinet design is the small appliance pantry and coffee station.
By design, the owner’s suite is located on the main floor. It connects the home’s laundry room and powder room, and includes plenty of enclosed storage space, as well as bench seating to sit and put on shoes. Above the bench are a number of hooks that are perfect spots for raincoats, backpacks, jackets and lunch boxes.
The scenery in the laundry room may change the family’s view toward washing clothes as a favorite chore.
