walk to fireworks

Wouldn’t it be great to walk to fireworks from your house? Walkability is hot right now, and the truth is that it is so incredibly hot in Atlanta that you don’t want to walk far– there is a reason that natives call it HOTlanta!  Well, you are in luck! Traton Homes has a number of communities in Cobb County that are walkable to community July 4th celebrations. So, pack your picnic basket (mmmm. we are thinking burgers, corn on the cob, watermelon, deviled eggs and banana pudding), pick up a few sparklers, grab a blanket and enjoy a fun night as we celebrate our nation’s independence.

Here is our roundup of Acworth, Marietta and Kennesaw events that are near several of our popular communities.

Kennesaw Salute to America

The City of Kennesaw is celebrating Independence day on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 from 6 – 10 p.m. at Depot Park. Our homeowners at The Village of Fuller’s Chase can walk to this event! The Salute to America Concert & Fireworks includes two stages of free live music including a performance by Band X – Atlanta Party Band. Fireworks are visible from Depot Park and along Main Street and provide a spectacular visual finale to the evening at 9:30 p.m. In addition to street vendor and sponsor booths, additional attractions will include free and pay-to-play inflatable amusements and mechanical rides.

Tables by Depot Stage can be reserved on a first-come basis, and other seating is general admission, so pack a blanket or a comfortable low-backed chair. Food and beverages are available for purchase, and guests are welcome to bring picnic baskets or coolers. For more information, visit Kennesaw July 3.

Acworth Independence Day

The City of Acworth and the Acworth Business Association are hosting an Independence Day celebration at Cauble Park on Thursday, July 4th, 2019. For those who want to arrive early to get a great spot, food and drinks are available from vendors starting at noon. The celebration starts with live music at 4 p.m. The fireworks start at dark. This is one of the largest fireworks shows in Cobb County and the fireworks take place over Lake Acworth. Our homeowners at Courtyards at Camden are just minutes away from these festivities.

The concert and fireworks are free to the public, and tables for six are available for an additional fee. To purchase a table, please visit AcworthParksAndRecreation.org. Plan ahead for parking. You will need a parking pass to park at Cauble Park, but parking is also available downtown with shuttle buses to take you to the Park. For more information, please call 770-917–1234 or visit https://www.facebook.com/acworthparksandrec.

Marietta Square Fireworks

Our homeowners at The Registry at Marietta Square can walk to the Marietta Square for the city’s Independence Day Celebration. The City of Marietta has a full-day planned to celebrate July 4th. The 4th in the Park Celebration begins on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. and includes a parade, free live concerts, museum tours, arts and crafts show, food, carnival games and fireworks finale at dark.

We hope your Independence Day celebration is fun, festive and safe and that you spend it with those you love!  If you want to learn more about how to walk to fire works from any of our communities, visit www.TratonHomes.com.
