It’s that time of the year again – The Historic West End Tour of Homes is this weekend, May 2 & May 3. The West End home tour promotes revitalization and home ownership of the neighborhood’s historic homes and landmarks. The West End Historic District is located southwest of Downtown and is the oldest neighborhood in Atlanta, established in 1835.  The Tour of Homes will feature a mixture of house types and architectural styles including Folk Victorian, Queen Anne, and Craftsman.

There has been some exciting developments in the West End including the development of the Beltline model mile and also the new mixed use community, Sky Lofts. This gated condo and townhome community features over 9,000 sq. ft. of retail space with stores of restaurants. Developed by Russell New Urban Development, 2 million dollars been has been spent on new sidewalks, trees, streetlights, and other streetscape improvements around the community. Sky Lofts is a participating sponsor of the West End Tour of Homes and also a featured community so make sure to stop by to see the decorated models.The Tour will begin at the Wren’s Nest.  Tickets are $15 at the door or you can purchase them online for $12.
