Tim Warnement announced as Traton Homes new CFO

Traton Homes, a leading Atlanta home builder, announces the promotion of Tim Warnement to Chief Financial Officer. With an impressive background in finance and a deep commitment to enhancing operational efficiencies, Tim plays a pivotal role in steering Traton Homes through its next phase of growth and innovation.

“As Traton Homes looks to the future, Tim’s leadership and vision will be instrumental in enhancing the company’s financial position and supporting our mission to deliver exceptional value to homeowners and investors alike,” said Chris Poston, Chief Operating Officer at Traton Homes.

Warnement brings a wealth of experience from his tenure at Green Brick Partners, where he served as Vice President of Finance and played a critical role in the financial oversight and strategic planning of the company’s operations. His expertise in creating sophisticated forecast models and his ability to provide actionable insights into financial projections and capital allocation decisions have driven success.

Reflecting on his new role, Warnement expressed enthusiasm about the opportunities ahead, “I’m excited to help enhance the team’s reporting capabilities and put in place tools other departments can use to operate more efficiently with our data. The chance to contribute to Traton Homes’ growth and progress as a high-quality homebuilder is invigorating.”

Before joining Traton Homes as director of finance in July 2022, Warnement honed his skills in various high-impact financial roles. As Chief Financial Officer for Bold New York and Bold Partners, he significantly improved financial reporting and operational efficiency, demonstrating his ability to adapt and thrive in dynamic environments. His tenure at PulteGroup and John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods further solidified his reputation as a skilled financial strategist who drives company growth and enhances shareholder value. His professional journey is marked by significant achievements, including his role in underwriting a $170 million home builder acquisition in Atlanta with Wheelock Street Capital and high-profile financing transactions including an Initial Public Offering as an investment banker with Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

A Charlotte native, Warnement has spent almost 12 years living in Atlanta, marking this as his third stint in the city after experiences at Emory University and during his time with Wieland and Pulte. His profound familiarity with the Atlanta market and extensive finance and real estate background makes him uniquely qualified to lead Traton Homes’ financial operations.

Warnement is a graduate of Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, where he majored in Accounting and Finance.
