Foodies recognize Italy for its fresh ingredients: warm bread, homemade pasta, aged cheeses and desserts! The good news for Atlantans is that the taste of Italy is coming to Atlanta. Logan Holcomb, local marketing manager for The Fresh Market joins the Around Atlanta edition of Atlanta Real Estate Forum to talk about ways to sample and savor the flavors of Italy this weekend.
The Fresh Market wants to be a “warm, inviting experience,” for guests, according to Logan, and each location works to provide in-store samples, preparation tips and exceptional customer service on a daily basis. The stores are boosting their offerings now through March 28 with Italian-inspired samplings.
Every department offers something. Guests can sample ciabatta, a thin-crusted, airy bread perfect for dipping. Head to the meat department to try Italian sausage and top it off with a bite of aged parmesan-reggiano cheese. Italian desserts like tiramisu and the Fresh Market’s gelato, which is made in Italy, complete the menu. The Fresh Market has additional sampling areas throughout the store, staffed with experts to help guests make selections and provide recipe cards. They can even guide people to appropriate wine pairings.
Logan recommends making time to see the giant wheels of parmesan reggiano placed throughout the stores.
“They weigh 75 pounds and are made with over 150 gallons of milk,” said Logan. Cracking one requires special tools and direction from dedicated cheese specialists.
In addition to enjoying a variety of samplings, busy families can head to the Little Big Meal section of the store, which is always in a central location. Guests can receive meal preparation guidance from an expert, and all the ingredients necessary to throw together dinner for four.
