If you enjoy food with a splash of creativity, don’t miss this year’s Taste of Atlanta event. Featuring city favorites, novel newcomers and global eateries, this popular street festival welcomes more than 80 of Atlanta’s favorite dining destinations to Tech Square. On Saturday, October 22 and Sunday, October 23, you can sample food, watch live cooking demos and more.
Barcraft Competition – Sample cocktails from Atlanta’s best bartenders as they compete for the top spot. Open to VIP ticket holders only.
Family Food Zone – Watch some of the best chefs in the nation prepare food and demonstrate their techniques. And for the chefs-in-training, the Top Chef Kids Competition is a great source of hands-on experience.
Inside the Food Studio – This special behind-the-scenes event is hosted by Tom Sullivan and offers a look into the world of a gourmet chef. Patrons will enjoy beverages and bites while learning valuable cooking skills and insight into the Atlanta restaurant scene.
Global Flavors International Stage – New for 2011, this showcase features chefs from Atlanta’s diverse international restaurant scene demonstrating what goes into their signature cuisine.
Home Plate Main Stage – On the main stage, renowned chefs battle it out and go head-to-head. Watch as these culinary craftsmen tackle secret ingredients, themed challenges, unique recipes and more.
This is just a sampling of what to expect at the 2011 Taste of Atlanta. Tickets for the event are on sale now. General admission is $25 and VIP tickets are available for $75. VIPs will receive 15 taste coupons and admission into the Wine + Beer + Cocktail Experience, which features tasting tents and educational seminars.
