Sky Lofts is offering home buyers the chance to own brand new, FHA-approved condominiums in The Historic West End of Atlanta. These new condos are eligible for an average of $50,000 in Atlanta BeltLine Affordable Housing Trust Fund down payment assistance to qualified buyers. With 100 percent financing and just $1,500 of buyer’s own funds contributed toward closing, Sky Lofts is helping more buyers realize the dream of homeownership.

Homeowners like Zaven O’Bryant, a Ph.D. student at Morehouse School of Medicine, have used the Atlanta BeltLine Affordable Housing Trust Fund and other available programs to take advantage of the deals at Sky Lofts. After looking at homes for over a year, O’Bryant finally found the perfect place at Sky Lofts and moved in October of 2009.

“Every day I wake up and I’m extremely happy that I live here,” O’Bryant said. “Sky Lofts is an extremely walkable community. The grocery store is right across from my condo, and Morehouse is just three blocks away. Without the BeltLine program and other financial assistance, I couldn’t have afforded such a beautiful condo.”

Condominiums at Sky Lofts are available for up to $100,000 off the original prices. One-bedroom condos are priced from $87,900, and two-bedroom condos are priced from $129,900. With the Atlanta BeltLine Affordable Housing Trust Fund, monthly payments for a one-bedroom condo may be as low as $559, while payment on a two-bedroom condo may be as low as $805 per month – both including HOA and taxes. For many homeowners, the monthly payments are less than those required to rent. To take advantage of the down payment assistance, buyers must be purchasing a primary residence and meet qualification guidelines.

Sky Lofts is a gated community with a clubroom, fitness center and pool. Each condominium features hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, washer and dryer units, tile backsplash, granite countertops and a tile bath with a garden tub.  All parking is assigned and select homes have assigned covered parking in the parking deck.
