The Aurora Awards, a design competition of the Southeast Building Conference that honors excellence in building and design, recently awarded Soleil Laurel Canyon the Grand Aurora Award in the 50-plus Retirement Community category. The community also received the Best of State Aurora Award for Georgia in the same category.

Soleil was honored during the first round of the Aurora Awards at the Southeast Building Conference on July 8, 2014 as the Best 50-plus Retirement Community. Due to this win, Soleil became eligible to win the Grand Aurora in this category, where they won for having the highest number of points in a division. Their winning entry was showcased during the 2014 Aurora Awards Black Tie Gala on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Tallahassee, Fla.
