Where to Retire magazine has named Soleil Laurel Canyon one of the 50 Best Master-Planned Communities in the U.S. for 2015. More than 100 communities across the country competed for a spot on the short list of 50 communities, released annually by Where to Retire, a national publication that serves as the foremost authority on retirement relocation. This is the second time Soleil has won the award, also earning a top spot in 2013.

A number of factors went into the judging process, including community size, home pricing, recreation and amenity space, social clubs and functions, and resident testimonies. This year, residents Robert and Cheryl Ortwein spoke about their experience with Soleil, citing Canton’s weather, health care access and outdoor opportunities at Soleil as key selling points for their choice to call the active adult community home.

“When you stand on the 18th tee, you can probably see 15 miles,” said Robert Ortwein, 66, of the panoramic views found on the Fairways of Canton golf course adjacent to the development. “You can have a bad round, but you get to that point, and you say, ‘Hey, it’s not so bad after all.’”

Soleil Laurel Canyon offers a decorated model park featuring a selection of eight cottage, traditional and craftsman-style single-family homes from the mid-$200,000s to the mid-$400,000s. These two and three bedroom designer floor plans are open and elegant with architectural details including 11-foot foot ceilings, satin nickel hardware, marble vanities and designer lighting.  All of Soleil’s homes are designed for aging-in-place with stepless-entry access, wide doorways and roll-in showers.

Interested buyers are encouraged to visit the active adult community and experience all Soleil has to offer. To learn more, visit www.SoleilLaurelCanyon.com.
