Smith Douglas Homes has started a new holiday tradition this year as it has become an official drop-off location for Toys for Tots. The corporate headquarters located on Highway 92 in Woodstock is the main drop-off point, but metro Atlanta residents can also bring toys to the model home or sales center in any of Smith Douglas’ communities in metro Atlanta. The deadline to donate new, unwrapped toys is quickly approaching, as donations must be made by Friday, Dec. 19, 2014.

Started by the United States Marine Corps, Toys for Tots provides toys to homeless and needy children in the local community. Campaigns take place in more than 700 communities in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

As donation boxes are filled with toys, they will be taken to an official Toys for Tots holding location. The toys are sorted by age and gender, and then they’re distributed throughout the local community with the help of local welfare agencies, church groups and other local agencies.

To help Smith Douglas Homes spread the holiday spirit to the less fortunate in metro Atlanta, drop off your new, unwrapped toys to the corporate office, which is located at 110 Village Trail, Suite 215 in Woodstock.
