Christmas Day has officially come and gone, and as many families begin to take down their holiday decorations, we want to remind you to recycle your Christmas tree near our Woodstock GA homes.

The City of Woodstock invites you to dispose of your evergreen the environmentally friendly way by dropping it off to be fed into the chipper at Olde Rope Mill Park from December 26 to mid-January. Starting January 2, residents will also be allowed to “dip” into the free mulch that is created, and on Saturday, January 4, Keep Georgia Beautiful will be handing out free tree seedlings at the park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Just like the City of Woodstock is encouraging residents to be environmentally conscious this post-holiday season, we encourage homebuyers to make energy efficient choices when it comes to their new homes. All of our Woodstock GA homes at Oakhurst meet our GreenSmart standards with features such as radiant barrier roofing, house wrap, 14 Seer HVAC systems, energy saving light features, energy star appliances and more.

Currently, we have homes under construction or move-in ready in addition to our pre-sale opportunities at this brand new community of Cherokee County homes for sale. When complete, Oakhurst will feature 157 craftsman-style Atlanta new homes priced from the mid $200,000s, as well as amenities package including a grand clubhouse, playground and junior Olympic pool centered around the community’s large Oak tree.
