During the Thanksgiving season, it is important to remember and be thankful for the many things that are done to help the communities we live in. One of Atlanta’s top builders, Pulte Group, which includes both Pulte Homes Georgia and Del Webb, has been involved with a local North Georgia organization, Supporting Adoption and Foster Families Together (SAFFT), for several years. SAFFT is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to serving, supporting and empowering foster and adoptive children, their caregivers and the entire family through a Christ-centered supportive network. In 2013, Pulte Homes Georgia continued their efforts to make sure that as many children and families as possible received help from this organization.

In 2010, Pulte helped to convert an old home that was previously used as a SWAT training facility into a safe visitation center where children could meet with their birth parents during court-ordered supervision. The center’s purpose has since been expanded through state legislation, which prompted Forsyth County to help SAFFT secure a new, larger space near downtown Cumming.

Pulte once again stepped up to the plate, and together with its vendors, the new building was modified by painting, making the building handicap accessible, striping the parking lot, fixing flooring issues and more. In addition, to help raise funds for the new facility, Pulte built a playhouse that was raffled off. On Friday, Nov. 15, once all of the renovations were complete, a ribbon cutting ceremony for SAFFT’s new Family Life Center was held with First Lady Sandra Deal in attendance to help in the unveiling.

Pulte Homes Georgia currently has 13 single-family home and townhome communities while Del Webb has three active adult communities located throughout the metro Atlanta area. Pulte offers a product to fit the lifestyle and budget of every home buyer with homes priced from the $170,000s, a multitude of floor plans, state-of-the-art amenities, low-maintenance communities and desirable locations.
