While some developers of the Midtown Mile recently unveiled a new retail concept for 12th and Midtown that would shift focus away from luxury retail and more toward the needs of average Midtown consumers, other developers have not embraced these suggestions. Selig Enterprises and Daniel Corp., partners on 12th and Midtown, say that development will continue as planned. They envision the more than $1 billion mixed-use project offering a unique mix of brands, concepts and price points.

Finding others who support that vision isn’t difficult, as 12th and Midtown has seen several recent developments. For example, STK is currently under construction and scheduled to open in November 2011. This trendy steakhouse is already popular in Las Vegas, New York, Los Angeles and Miami, and soon the citizens of Atlanta will be able to experience it for themselves

These three destinations are just a sampling of the things to come. Selig Enterprises and Daniel Corp. have over 500,000 square feet of retail space planned at 12th and Midtown over the next several years.
