One of the greatest things about Atlanta is that it offers so many undiscovered treasures for its residents and visitors to explore, experience and enjoy. The area surrounding Atlanta’s international airport is no exception, its quaintness and exciting dining options previously unknown to many of Atlanta’s citizens who don’t live there. Cookie Smoak, President of ATL Airport District, joins co-hosts Carol Morgan and Todd Schnick to discuss the 2018 ATL Airport District Restaurant Week, beginning March 17 and continuing through March 25, where Atlanta residents and even Atlanta visitors can get a taste of the area surrounding Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
ATL Airport District is a destination marketing organization that promotes the value, tourism and businesses of the cities of College Park, East Point, Union City and, most recently, Hapeville. The group specifically promotes the airport district as a destination for conferences, meetings, tourism and more.
This year’s restaurant week is the fifth annual celebration and promotion of the area’s incredible dining options. The event begins on Saturday, March 17 and runs through Sunday, March 25. Twenty-one restaurants will be participating in this exciting event and showcase a variety of cuisines, including Latin, French, vegan, farm-to-table, Southern and more that will satisfy all kinds of tastes.
To participate in the ATL Airport District Restaurant Week, visit www.ATLDistrict.com/Events/ATL-Airport-District-Restaurant-Week and view the list of participating restaurants. Restaurants offer lunches from $9 to $19 and dinners from $19 to $29 or a 20 percent discount on select dishes throughout Restaurant Week.
ATIL Airport District Restaurant Week was created to feature the businesses, restaurants and other attractions that make the airport district such a fantastic area. Visitors can enjoy eating near Porsche’s test track, BMW’s upcoming training center, the new Atlanta Hawks D-league arena, the Georgia International Convention Center, several planned hotels and many more amazing locations.
