Presidential Award – Myles Cardenas, McKinley Homes
The 2022 Annual Installation and Awards Ceremony, hosted by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (HBA), recently took place at the Omni Hotel at The Battery. At this year’s ceremony, Myles Cardenas with McKinley Homes was presented with the Presidential Award.
Presented at the discretion of the association President, the Presidential Award is a special acknowledgment of an individual’s commitment and service to the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and the home building industry.
During his time as the President of the Kennesaw State University NAHB Chapter, Cardenas exhibited a true passion for the industry, linking up and educating the younger generations about residential construction career path opportunities. Immediately following college, Cardenas served on the Young Professionals Group executive board and quickly worked his way up as the 2020 and 2021 chairman.
During his short time as chairman, he was instrumental in the launch of the Emerging Leaders Program and spearheaded the Workforce Connection Program geared towards educating high school students about the available opportunities in our industry. Noticing the demand for young talent and labor, he was the brains behind the first annual Residential Career Day. Hosted last June, the event brought together local students and Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association members to bridge the gap and create solutions. Myles Cardenas is well on his way to becoming one of the future leaders of this association.
Congratulations to Myles Cardenas on the fantastic win!
