At this year’s 41st Annual OBIE Awards, Xi Veerkamp with McKinley Homes received the Rookie Salesperson of the Year accolade. A premier award in the industry presented by the Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council (SMC) on behalf of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (HBA), the awards recognize incredible achievements in the Atlanta new home construction industry. Atlanta Real Estate Forum offers a warm congratulations to Veerkamp for the prestigious honor.
A first-generation Chinese immigrant, Veerkamp excelled across the nine months from mid-2020 to early-2021 with 149 net sales, covering $47 million in sales volume across her 16.6 sales-per-month average. Her personal record in the single month of January 2021 was 47 sales!
With a financial background in land acquisition, she cleared the way for presales up to 12 months prior to any deliverable inventory as McKinley Homes developed each new community. After transferring from land acquisition manager to a new home sales agent in June 2020, she continued to break barriers and raise standards.
Veerkamp closed 21 homes in December 2020 to help meet the annual closing goal while simultaneously signing 19 contracts to meet the McKinley Homes total sales goal of 500 homes. She secured and submitted her final contract for 2020 on December 31, 2020, at 12:58 p.m. and followed up to ensure it was fully executed the same evening to close the deal.
