Historic Marietta has the perfect display of lights and decorations for anyone who loves to tour classic homes. The Marietta Pilgrimage Christmas Home Tour kicks off today and features six private historic residences in the Kennesaw Avenue Historic Districts. The homes are all wonderfully restored and beautifully decorated for the season. Homes also showcase thoughtfully chosen antiques, which are incorporated into the homeowners’ every day lives. Along the tour route, historic public buildings are also decorated and open for tours.

Daytime tours are available today from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. A Saturday evening candlelight tour of three homes is available tonight from 7 to 9:30 p.m.

Don’t worry about getting a chill on the tour. Bistro at the Brickyard, located at 129 Church Street will be open and is conveniently along the tour route. Pop in for a treat or warm beverage and discuss your favorite decorations with other tour goers.

Historic Marietta has a lot of beauty and holiday cheer to offer throughout December. Visit the Marietta Pilgrimage Christmas Home Tour website for ticket information.
