Sally Macauley, executive director of the Marietta Museum of Art, joins co-hosts Carol Morgan and Todd Schnick for this week’s Around Atlanta edition of the Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio show to discuss the upcoming chalk and beer festival, Chalktoberfest, in Marietta on October 8 and 9.

Over 30,000 attendees are expected to attend the two-day festival to spend time with family and friends while enjoying more than 125 craft brews, live music, local food, kid activities and chalk art created in real time, right in front of attendee’s eyes.

Since its first year, Chalktoberfest has grown from presenting only two professional artists from all over the U.S., to more than 80 from all over the U.S. and three outside countries. This is the biggest year yet and, new this year, will feature an antique car show.

Live entertainment will run the entire festival from Saturday to Sunday and will feature A1A Jimmy Buffett, the Paul Hand Band and more! Special seating and reserved tables are available for purchase.

The first 500 general admission tickets sell for $35 and include unlimited beer tasting from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Once the first 500 are sold, the next 500 cost $40 or $45 at the festival, cash only.

VIP tickets are also available for $75 and include unlimited beer tasting from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. as well as access to the VIP lounge with specialty beers not included with general admission, a big screen TV showing the Saturday games, complimentary snacks from Whole Foods and a commemorative pint glass.
