With Earth Day right around the corner on Tuesday, April 22, now is a great time to consider some of the initiatives you can take to help with conservation efforts and making our planet healthier. Something that affects many homeowners all over the country is water drought. With some help from The Home Depot and practicing water conservation, we can make a difference in the environment, our communities and even our wallets.

This year, The Home Depot will be offering free Water Conservation Workshops at all store locations on Saturday, April 26 from 10 until 11:30 a.m. This workshop will focus on home improvement projects that will maximize water conservation inside and outside of your home. Some of the projects include installing dual-flush toilets, drip irrigation and EPA WaterSense® showerheads and faucets.

The Home Depot hopes these workshops will help people all over the U.S., especially those who will experience severe water restrictions this summer.

In 2013, The Home Depot reported that customers saved 42.5 billion gallons of water through the use of WaterSense products. Just imagine how many more gallons of water will be saved in 2014! Make sure you do your part this year to transform your metro Atlanta home into a conservation haven.
