The Cherokee County Senior Olympics have already kicked off to a great start, and Soleil Laurel Canyon is excited to host two upcoming events: Bocce Ball and Mah Jongg.

This is Soleil’s second year hosting an event for the Senior Olympics. Last year, the Canton active adult community hosted a successful bocce ball competition on its pristine course just outside the 28,000 square foot clubhouse.

This year, Soleil will host bocce ball on Friday, April 15 and Mah Jongg on Wednesday, April 20. Other events in the Senior Olympics, which run through April 29, include a one-mile walk, washers, hillbilly golf, golf tournament, pickleball, softball tournament, wii bowling, billiards, horseshoes, swimming, baggo, basketball free throw and bowling. Soleil is honored to be a part of this fun event, which just keeps growing every year.

Even if you’re not participating in the fun, you can still come out to the closing ceremonies, taking place at The Lodge at Bridgemill on Friday, April 29 at 10 a.m. See all the winners receive their medals, and enjoy a performance by some of the Soleil Singers.

At Soleil Laurel Canyon, you don’t need a special event like the Senior Olympics to have fun. Soleil residents enjoy many activities and clubs that center around the amazing clubhouse, tennis courts, outdoor amphitheater and lake, community garden and Fairways of Canton golf course, which is scheduled to reopen soon.
