While Lake Arrowhead offers a wide variety of activities for residents throughout the year, summer is when things really start to ramp up. The kids are out on vacation and the days are longer, making it easier to fit even more events into your daily schedule. Here are some of the things you’ve been missing if you don’t live at this Cherokee County community built around a pristine, 540-acre lake.

In April, residents at Lake Arrowhead participated in the 2011 Masters Tournament. Players at the Highlands Golf Course combined their score with a PGA Tour Player’s score from the Masters. From $1.50 egg salad or pimento cheese sandwiches to a custom version of the Green Jacket, everything was designed to add as much realism to the event as possible.

This month, residents at Lake Arrowhead will enjoy numerous events including karaoke, Teen Club Movie Night and several dinner gatherings. Plus, the pools open at the end of May, which is something that everyone has been looking forward to (especially with the temperatures rising).

In June, there will be a wine tasting at The Highlands Grill. Lake Arrowhead residents will be able to sample five varieties of Washington State wines from the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery.

If you want to experience life in this amazing community for yourself, you can choose from a wide variety of homes from D.R. Horton that offer breathtaking views. If you’d rather customize your new home, we have several available lots that you can select and build upon, including some fantastic waterfront lots! Either way, you’ll enjoy boating, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, golfing and more.
