Imagine kicking back at your community’s outdoor cabana bar that overlooks Lake Lanier as you prepare to head to your boat that is docked at the community’s marina. You can smile knowing your piece of lake front real estate is enough to make even Jimmy Buffett jealous.

That is just one of many options that will soon be possible for residents of Cresswind at Lake Lanier. The Kolter Group, LLC the developer of the resort-inspired, waterfront active adult community adjacent to Lake Lanier broke ground last week on a 36,000 square foot clubhouse and amenity center that will cost approximately $8 million. Land development and vertical construction is expected to take a little over a year.

Inside the clubhouse overlooking Lake Lanier, residents will enjoy a heated indoor Olympic-sized pool, billiards, demonstration kitchen, grand ballroom, arts and crafts room, library and extensive fitness center.

Outdoors, the amenity area will feature a zero-entry lagoon-style pool, full marina with courtesy deck, kayak launch area, six tennis courts, horseshoe pits, pickle ball and bocce ball courts.

Cresswind resident, John Snyder, who purchased a home in the community three years ago, was all smiles last week. He said Kolter has done yeomans work since purchasing the community out of bankruptcy earlier this year.

“I can’t say enough about Kolter,” he said. “Ever since they purchased the community they have done everything they said they were going to do. We are absolutely ecstatic that they have broken ground on the clubhouse. This community is a beautiful place and this will only add to its allure.”
