Atlanta Real Estate Forum congratulates Kim Gassner with Rocklyn Homes on the incredible win of Sales Manager of the Year at this year’s OBIE Awards. Presented by the Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, the 41st annual OBIE Awards recognizes outstanding achievements in Atlanta’s new homebuilding industry.

Gassner is no stranger to spin-cycle market conditions. Beginning her real estate career in 2001 and remaining successful through the challenging 2008 recession, Gassner earned the SFR (Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource®) designation and in 2013, joined Rocklyn Homes. In 2020, as Rocklyn Sales Manager, Gassner refused to let a global pandemic get in the way of an exceptional year, selling 1,283 homes averaging $265,000 to $339,995,000 in sales as of June 2021.

A native of New Jersey, she grew up in the Atlanta area and attended Georgia Southern University. Her motivation to pursue real estate was a disappointing experience as a first-time homebuyer.

Gassner recalls, “We were misinformed at many steps along the way. I came away feeling I could do a much better job of helping buyers understand the process.”

Motivated by a desire to educate and advocate for buyers plus prior experience in construction helped to ensure her success as a Rocklyn Homes onsite Community Manager. In 2016, she was named corporate Sales Manager.
