BTR builder celebrates 25th anniversary and sets ambitions goals for 2024 and 2025
Jim Chapman Construction Group (JCCG), a build-to-rent (BTR) general contractor, celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2023, highlighting 2023 as a year of remarkable success and looking to 2024 with ambitious plans. In 2023, JCCG completed 882 homes across six communities and delivered 564 lots, marking a significant milestone in its operations. The company also successfully sold and closed four communities, comprising 971 homes in Georgia in the cities of Loganville, Brunswick, Hampton and Athens, to institutional owners.
As JCCG moves into 2024, the company is projecting the completion of 550 homes and the delivery of 1,210 lots, with sights set on further growth into 2025, aiming to complete 1,096 homes and deliver 419 lots.
Reflecting on the company’s journey, Jim Chapman, President of JCCG, shared, “Celebrating our 25th-anniversary last year is a testament to the hard work and dedication that my entire team pours into our company to make it successful and sustainable.”
Jim Chapman started in the construction business with his architect father in July 1997. They began with a single lot in Buckhead while he was still building for a national builder. Chapman comments, “I sold my first home in February 1998 and have never looked back. Eventually moving into the BTR general contracting business in 2018 was a pivotal decision that has led us to the success we are enjoying today.”
In 2023, JCCG started four new deals; the company plans to significantly increase this number to six to eight new projects in 2024. “This past year has been a year of growth, learning and achieving beyond our goals. As we look to the future, we’re not just focused on numbers but on creating quality rental homes and gorgeous well laid out communities that meet the evolving needs of our clients,” Chapman added.
