As the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) celebrates the 15th National Farmers Market Week from Aug. 3 to 9, residents of Jim Chapman Communities’ Brookhaven at Lanier Ridge stand perfectly poised to celebrate the occasion at the many farmers market surrounding their nearly sold out Cumming active adult community.

“Whenever we ask our current residents what drew them to Brookhaven at Lanier Ridge, the vast majority mention its great location in Forsyth County in northern Metro Atlanta,” said Joan Wise, the on-site agent at Brookhaven at Lanier Ridge. “Not only does the area provide world class shopping and entertainment, but residents also mention that the farmers markets in this part of the state are second to none.”

The Cumming Farmers Market is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to noon at the Cumming Fairgrounds, and the Brookwood Farmers Market, a non-profit started by elementary school PTA members, is open every Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brookwood Elementary School.
