HomeAid Atlanta, a nonprofit organization that builds and renovates housing for temporarily homeless families, recently announced the recipients of its fifth annual awards for Trade Partner of the Year and Volunteer of the Year. The recipients were recognized during the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association’s Installation and Awards Banquet at the Cobb Galleria on Jan. 18. Each year, organizations that show great commitment to HomeAid Atlanta and its mission are honored at this special banquet.

White Rock Drywall won the 2010 Trade Partner of the Year award, which recognizes an exemplary non-builder partner of one or more of HomeAid Atlanta’s shelter projects. The company has been an active supporter of the nonprofit organization for several years, donating drywall and painting services for five shelter projects.

The Community Service Committee of the Building Owners and Managers of Atlanta (BOMA-Atlanta) won the 2010 Volunteer of the Year award for outstanding service. BOMA-Atlanta has partnered with HomeAid Atlanta for the past two years and has participated in two extensive HomeAid Cares projects. The committee also organized over 300 volunteers for these projects to assist local shelters with essential repairs and maintenance work.

These award recipients have shown dedication to HomeAid Atlanta’s mission of helping homeless families and individuals, as have many other organizations. If you would like to contribute to this wonderful cause, contact HomeAid Atlanta and become a volunteer or donor.
