Father’s Day is just around the corner (June 19) and if you haven’t gotten your dad something yet, there’s still plenty of time. Here are some ideas courtesy of your favorite Atlanta real estate blog.

For the dad who loves to repair things, a Swiss Army knife is a nice, safe choice. Remember when your dad went with you to Boy Scouts meetings and bought you your first Swiss Army knife? Well now it’s time to return the favor. However, these definitely aren’t the same gadgets you remember from childhood. Today’s Swiss Army knife designs are a bit more complex. For example, the Cybertool lite includes a wire stripper, sewing eye, bit wrench, screwdriver, hex sockets, torx bits, magnifying lens and pressurized ball point pen – just to name a few.

Is your dad into fitness? Perhaps a Fitbit would make a good gift. This super-small device can help you keep track of calories burned, steps taken, distance traveled and sleep quality. Plus, the Fitbit comes with a base station that syncs your device with a PC, letting you view statistics on the Fitbit website. If other people have a Fitbit, you can add them to a “friends” list and see their fitness goals.

For people with dads who love to read, an e-reader is a nice option. There are plenty of devices to choose from, so your selection really comes down to features. If your dad just wants a simple e-reader, the Amazon Kindle is light, easy to read and offers a long battery life. For a reader with greater possibilities, the Nook Color from Barnes & Noble has a seven-inch color touchscreen for books, surfing the web, playing games and more.

No matter what you get your dad for Father’s Day, it’s the thought that counts. So what are you doing with your dad this Sunday?
