Citizens of Locust Grove are prepping table decorations and planning outfits for this month’s annual Groovin’…in the Grove event!

The dining and dancing event will be held on Saturday, September 21 at 7 p.m. on the front lawn at City Hall. The evening will feature tunes from The Mackie Creek Band and all proceeds will benefit Locust Grove Main Street, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and beautification of historic downtown Locust Grove.

Gather up a group of eight friends and purchase a table for $150. Tickets for the event include your table linen, dessert and coffee bars, and everyone is invited to bring their favorite dinner and beverages.

Once you have gathered up your tablemates, get your creative juices flowing and decorate your table in any theme you wish. Prizes will be awarded for the best decorated tables in three separate categories that include the Grooviest…in the Grove, Most Outrageous and Best Match of Dress to Table Theme.
