Buckle up for the annual Atlanta Steeplechase, an exciting horse racing event at Kingston Downs on Saturday, April 23. The 2016 beneficiary to this highly anticipated event is Bert’s Big Adventure, which is a non-profit organization that was started by popular radio show host Bert Weiss as a way to provide children with terminal and chronic illnesses with the gift of an all expenses paid, five-day trip to Disney World. It also offers year-round support to ill children through other charitable events and partnering sponsors. To be a part of this year’s fundraiser for Bert’s Big Adventure, the Atlanta Steeplechase is inviting individuals or members of organizations and corporations to help volunteer for pre-race and race day activities. Even though the race is quickly approaching, you can still make an impact.
What better way to spend a warm Saturday in April than to enjoy time with family, friends and like-minded attendees in the open green at the Atlanta Steeplechase? You can set up a corporate table for a day off with your work colleagues, stop by the Hillside Picnic Boxes with live music and pre-race hors d’oeuvres or participate in other fun activities at the Atlanta Steeplechase:
- Ladies Hat Parade and Contest
- Terrier races
- Camel rides
- Pony rides
- Rock climbing
- Petting horses
