It’s an exciting time to live in the state of Georgia, and Movoto recently tackled the chore of deciding exactly which cities in Georgia are the most exciting places to call home. Here are the 10 Most Exciting Places to Live in Georgia according to Movoto:
- Brookhaven
- Atlanta
- Marietta
- Duluth
- Kennesaw
- Savannah
- Decatur
- Statesboro
- Athens
- Roswell
To get these rankings, the real estate experts at Movoto started with the 50 largest cities in the state according to the U.S. Census. Then, they researched nightlife, live music venues, active life options, arts and entertainment and fast food restaurants per capita, while also considering the percentage of residents aged 18 to 34 and the population density. Each city received a ranking of one through 50 for each component, and the city with the lowest score was deemed the most exciting place to live.
According to the study, Brookhaven has more nightlife, music venues and arts per capita than anywhere else on the list, edging out the city of Atlanta for the No. 1 spot. However, the capital city came in a close second thanks to its No. 2 ranking for its arts scene and for being home to more than 30 colleges and universities.
Several of the cities included on the list have also recently received other accolades, such as Duluth’s ranking by Forbes as one of the Best Places to Move Kennesaw’s ranking as one of the Best Cities for Families according to Movoto.
