Join the city of Flowery Branch and other The Springs at Sterling on the Lake residents at this weekend’s Flowery Branch Tree Lighting Festival! Held Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014 beginning at 2 p.m., the day consists of a parade, festive holiday fun, kid’s games and shopping, and it’s all topped off by the lighting of the downtown Flowery Branch Christmas tree.

The fifth annual festival kicks off with a gigantic Christmas parade at 1:55 p.m. Following the parade, festival attendees can enjoy traditional holiday fun, including a s’mores station, taking pictures with Santa in the Train Depot, hay rides, visiting more than 30 arts and crafts vendors or shopping at the various downtown merchants. The Boy Scouts will also be on hand with carnival-style games and other fun activities for children. The tree lighting production and performances will begin at 5 p.m., with the tree itself being lit at 5:55 p.m.

Admittance to the Flowery Branch Tree Lighting Festival is free, as are many of the activities. Proceeds generated will benefit Flowery Branch’s Shop with a Cop program.
