On Tuesday, Atlanta builder Edward Andrews Homes (EA Homes) announced that its senior vice president of marketing, Caroline Simmel, has been named its chief marketing officer (CMO), effective immediately. Simmel has served EA Homes since the company’s beginning in 2007 and has helped cultivate a culture and standards that bring about well-built, purposeful homes and set up EA Homes as a placemaker and lifestyle curator.
“Caroline Simmel’s long tenure at Edward Andrews, combined with a full career of experience in the real estate and marketing fields, has been invaluable in getting us to where we are today,” said Paul Corley, chief executive officer of EA Homes. “I feel fortunate that our team has a leader with Caroline’s skill set, eagerness to innovate and spirit of teamwork as we navigate through the rapidly changing landscape of the homebuilding industry and continue to expand our footprint in Atlanta and position ourselves as a homebuilding company that shapes lifestyles designed specifically for each community we create.”
Simmel’s role as CMO will include continued responsibility for the strategic direction and management of the company’s sales, marketing and design. Additionally, her duties will include an emphasis on increasing revenue growth and profitability. Simmel’s impressive experience in residential real estate marketing will help her and the marketing team at EA Homes develop and execute communication campaigns that support growth and development. Simmel is an expert in land feasibility, lot acquisition and market and demographic research, and these advantages will help her streamline three key aspects of EA Homes into one consumer experience.
“When we launched the company in 2007, we set out to challenge the status quo of the home-building and buying process,” said Simmel. “We believed in thinking differently and began shifting the home buying experience from a builder-centric approach to a customer-centric approach that enhances our customers’ experiences through technology and innovation. We combined this with well-thought-out placemaking fueled by the lifestyle and design aspirations of our customers to create a truly authentic offering.”
Simmel continued, “We have successfully integrated our sales, marketing and design teams to create the ultimate lifestyle experience for our buyers. We work to ensure we deliver well-built, purposeful communities with thoughtful, stylish designs where buyers can live in Comfortable Luxury.”
Simmel uses her real estate strategy experience to focus marketing efforts on target demographics and consumer insights, product planning and price positioning, competitive profiling, cutting edge digital initiatives and promotional efforts for both current and future communities. Further, she oversees the investor group analytics team during the project feasibility phase of land and lot acquisition to quantify strategic growth options for upcoming developments in the Metro Atlanta area.
Before joining EA Homes, Caroline Simmel was a lot sales consultant with PEC Development Group and a key developer of Jenny Pruitt & Associates’ land acquisition division. Simmel’s bachelor’s degree is from the University of Florida.
