Crosby Design Group, Other Design Firms Launch Sunny & Ranney

Sunshine on a Ranney Day Co-Founder Holly Ranney recently partnered with full-service interior design firm Crosby Design Group and other Atlanta-based firms to bring Sunny & Ranney Home Furnishings and Décor to fruition. Located in downtown Roswell off Oak Street, Sunny & Ranney sells designer home goods and furniture to support home makeovers that transform the lives of children with special needs.

Each time a customer buys an item, the profit goes directly to Sunshine on a Ranney Day (SOARD), which renovates homes for children who need wheelchair-accessible bathrooms, dream bedrooms and functional therapy rooms to improve their independence and development. With over 17,000 kids already impacted by generous donations over the years, the store continues to bring sunshine every day to children, families and communities.

“Sunny & Ranney is a labor of love and a great example of corporations giving back,” Jennifer Crosby, SOARD board member and Crosby Design Group president and CEO, said. “Everything in our store is 100% donated by designers, retailers, wholesalers and consumers.

“All proceeds go toward our Sunshine on a Ranney Day makeovers. We are looking for ongoing relationships with interior designers, showrooms, manufacturers and others to donate sellable items on a regular basis.”

Since 2018, Crosby has served on the SOARD Board of Directors because of her devotion, interest and ongoing involvement. Crosby Design Group recently donated thousands of dollars’ worth of inventory from its warehouse to help fill the new store with merchandise to sell. The design firm also coordinated with Legacy Lighting, one of its vendors, to donate $5,000 worth of lighting fixtures to the Sunny & Ranney store every month.

Sunny & Ranney is currently accepting sofas, lamps, rugs, artwork, mirrors, dining tables, chairs and much more. Vital to its ongoing effort to fund future Kid Makeovers through Sunshine on a Ranney Day, anyone can donate new and lightly used items to the store.

Additionally, Sunny & Ranney is hosting onsite events:

  • Santa Claus will be in the store on Saturday, December 12 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Additionally, shoppers can enjoy live Christmas music all day performed by students from Roswell High!
  • A special Pop-Up Shop is available on Saturday, December 12 from The Orange Iris. This popular East Cobb boutique offers a wide selection of gifts for the holidays, and a percentage of sales will be donated to Sunshine on a Ranney Day

Over the last eight years, Crosby Design Group has completed more than 15 projects for Sunshine on a Ranney Day. Most prominent is the firm’s work on Devon Gales’ new home where it designed and coordinated all interior finishes and furniture.

The Crosby Design Group residential and commercial studios offer full turnkey, award-winning design and FF&E merchandising for multifamily and residential projects throughout the country.
