At Cresswind Georgia at Twin Lakes, the newest Cresswind community located in Hoschton, Georgia, community Lifestyle Director Nicole Jurovics is keeping residents active and fulfilled with a variety of planned events and activities. While many are resident-only affairs, others are open for residents to invite friends and family members to participate.

Looking at the calendar of events Jurovics has planned for the residents of Cresswind Georgia at Twin Lakes to enjoy, some of the highlights include:

Day Trip to Atlanta Botanical Garden

Spring is in full bloom at Atlanta Botanical Garden and Cresswind Georgia at Twin Lakes residents will enjoy a day infused by nature and stunning displays. Attendees will explore the Fuqua Conservatory, the outdoor gardens, the native birds at any of the multiple top birding spots and the carnivorous plants.

Tai Chi

No experience necessary, residents can attend weekly tai chi classes with their fellow neighbors. According to MayoClinic.org, tai chi is a series of gentle physical exercises and stretches. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring the body is in constant motion. Tai chi is sometimes described as meditation in motion, connecting the mind and body, because it promotes serenity through gentle movements.

Pickleball

The first phase of the highly anticipated Pickleball Center at Cresswind Georgia at Twin Lakes is officially open. For the first day of pickleball festivities, residents enjoyed 90-minutes of instruction from regional pickleball pros and ambassadors, an onsite food truck and a couple of hours of round-robin play. Vendors selling pickleball clothing and gear were also onsite for residents’ convenience.

Trivia

Did you know trivia can be beneficial to overall mental health? According to experts on HealthLine.com, players get a rush or a neuro-reward signal or a dopamine burst from winning, much like gambling, and residents at Cresswind Georgia at Twin Lakes enjoy private, community-only trivia events at Blake’s of Braselton.

Home & Hobbies Fair

From custom cabinets and running shoes to golf carts, baked goods and even bourbon, residents enjoy an onsite vendor fair with resources and retail for their homes and active lifestyles. Complete with live music and food, events at Cresswind Georgia at Twin Lakes are nothing short of community-inspired.

Outdoor Concerts

According to a Better Homes & Gardens article, a 2016 study published in the journal Public Health found that seeing live music can reduce levels of cortisol and cortisone, stress hormones released by the body’s adrenal glands, and lower levels of those stress hormones mean less stress overall.   1. We have put money down to build our home in Phase 2, but have not had our design meeting until May. Are we allowed to join in the events even though our home has not been started?
