Get out of those Atlanta new homes and rock into the New Year at the Peach Drop 2012. As the largest New Year’s Eve celebration in the Southeast, thousands of people have counted down to the clock striking midnight with the iconic 800 pound peach. Headlining the event will be the legendary band, Kansas.

The band’s songs include “Carry on Wayward Son” and “Dust in the Wind.” Even TV shows and movies have featured their music including Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Family Guy, Happy Gilmore and Old School.

Other activities include carnival-style rides, face painting, balloon artists and photos with exotic birds. Plus, the Chick-Fil-A Bowl will be live on the big screen.

There will also be live music all day on Budding Peach Stage and Kenny’s Alley including Isaiah Hill, Tyreke, The Frame, Georgia Power Trio, 10StepsBack, Norwood and Generation NOW. There will even be more music on the main stage, so stay tuned!
