The residents of Soleil Laurel Canyon, an active adult community in Canton, aren’t just spring cleaning, they are cleaning out their closets with a purpose. And what better way to rid themselves of that accessory they haven’t worn in ages, than to sell it for charity? Soleil’s sale is an annual event hosted in the community, which benefits the Cherokee Family Violence Center.

Since 1984, the Cherokee Family Violence Center (CFVC) has provided emergency shelter, crisis intervention services, affordable housing options and long term education opportunities to the 3,000 members of the Canton community who receive services every year. All proceeds from the Soleil sale will go to underwriting programs for the CFVC, and help the organization continue to promote a community standard of zero tolerance for violence in the home.
“This is our way of helping our fellow Cherokee county residents get a clean sweep for life,” said Sue Dean, director of lifestyle services at Soleil.
