Nothing marks the beginning of spring like beautiful weather and opening day of your local farmers market. Flowery Branch residents were able to enjoy the season’s first day of the Flowery Branch Farmers Market last Thursday, which offered up a wide variety of local produce, fresh meat, crafts and so much more.

Held from 4 until 7 p.m. every Thursday from May through October, the Flowery Branch Farmers Market had to be relocated to Railroad Avenue this year thanks to its growth and popularity. Formerly located at the Spout Springs Library branch, the roadside market now takes place next to the red caboose in downtown Flowery Branch.

Vendors at this year’s market include B&B Honey, Big Creek Farm, Blue Moon Creamery, Debbie’s Produce, Mountain Earth Farms, BeeBlam, Southern Creations, Winey Goat Farms and many more. A small sampling of the available items at the market include fresh strawberries, farm fresh eggs, bison meats, goat cheese, pickled vegetables, herbs, bath soaps and outdoor décor. To see the entire selection of goods that are available at the Flowery Branch Farmers Market, be sure to visit on Thursday evening! For more information on the market, click here.
