Free activities are hard to come by for residents of Atlanta new homes. However, you won’t have to look hard to find a free, fun-filled day in October as the 10th annual Fall Fest returns to Candler Park. This year’s festivities kick off on Friday, Oct. 22 with the Fall Masquerade Ball from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. The festival will continue from noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

The weekend is full of activities. Participants can shop the 90-booth Artists’ Market, listen to the 15 musical acts, let their children run off some energy in the children’s area with crafts and inflatable jumpies and sign up for the annual 5K run. On Sunday, make sure to check out the Tour of Homes to visit some of Candler Park’s most historic and beautiful sites. This year’s tour will feature eight homes with construction dates spanning more than 119 years.

Although the festival is free, the tickets to the Fall Masquerade Ball and the Tour of Homes are $15 each. Registration for the 5K race is $20 before Sept. 30 and $24 on race day.There will also be shopping at the Artists’ Market and food and drink for purchase.
