On this week’s Around Atlanta edition of the Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio show, Mike Logan, a volunteer with Atlanta Boxer Rescue, discusses upcoming Boxerstock 2016 with co-hosts Carol Morgan and Todd Schnick.
Boxerstock 2016 takes place this Sunday, October 23 from noon to 6 p.m. at Jim Miller Park in Marietta. The 9th annual Boxerstock music festival is presented by Paces Ferry Veterinary Clinic and will benefit Atlanta Boxer Rescue.
The Atlanta Boxer Rescue is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue and adoption of Boxers in the metro-Atlanta area as well as providing education and support to Boxer owners. This association, completely run by volunteers, has rescued over 1,200 dogs to date. Atlanta Boxer Rescue believes that “Home is where the Boxer is.”
Bring the entire family including your furry family members, as long as they are leashed! Attendees will enjoy a number of activities including great music from local up-and-coming groups, fresh food choices from local food trucks, a kids’ village, a silent auction, an off-leash dog park and more!
The kids’ village will offer a variety of activities for children of all ages including human hamster balls over water, inflatables and carnival games, face painting and more!
In addition to the off-lease dog park, your fur babies can also participate in the best trick contest, the dog costume contest and obedience demo and mini-class, just to name a few. Micro chipping will also be available for $25 per dog with proof of ownership and vaccination records.
On top of all the other fun activities going on at Boxerstock 2016, Victoria Stilwell, one of the most respected dog trainers, will also be making a guest appearance. Stilwell, most recognized from her role on Animal Planet’s hit TV series It’s Me or the Dog, will be speaking in the main arena at 2:30 p.m.
Tickets for Boxerstock start at $5 for students, seniors, military and children ages 12 to 18. Adult tickets are $10 and children 11 or younger may attend free.
Jim Miller Park is located at 2245 Callaway Road in Marietta. For additional information, or to see the full schedule of events, visit Boxerstock.org.
