Dave Fitzgerald, Chairman of Atlanta St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Inc., joins co-hosts Carol Morgan and Todd Schnick to discuss the upcoming holiday event on Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio for the weekly Around Atlanta segment.

Coming up March 11, Atlanta will yet again enjoy the longest-running event in Atlanta’s history – the Atlanta St. Patrick’s Day Parade. This year marks the 135th year the St. Patrick’s Day Parade marches down Peachtree Street, from 15th Street to 5th Street.

According to Fitzgerald, on average, the parade hosts around 120 units, 20 bands and sometimes the popular Clydesdales. Viewers will enjoy river dancing, bagpipe music and more at this fun, family-friendly event.

Colony Square kicks off the fun with a 10K race at 10 a.m. followed by “Shenanigans on the Square” from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. with entertainment, face painting and food options. Plenty of time to stop by between the parade festivities starting at noon.

After last year’s 200,000 in attendance, Fitzgerald encourages viewers to utilize MARTA as a transportation option.
