Kevin Morrow and Ed Wolkis are this week’s guests on Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio.

Kevin Morrow is a new home consultant with Lennar Atlanta representing Wexford and Mountain Creek communities in East Cobb. Lennar is the nation’s third largest builder, and they have been a huge presence in the Atlanta market for the past two years.

Wexford is a Lennar Atlanta’s newest East Cobb community featuring executive style homes priced from the $500,000s and situated on half acre home sites. Buyers love these homes not only for their three-side brick exteriors, three-car side entry garages, spacious interiors and great location, but also because they are in the Lassiter High school district. Lennar has transformed this distressed neighborhood, where homes were slated to sell from $1.2 million, into a real gem, and as a result buyers are able to purchase these homes at a phenomenal price point.

Our next guest is Ed Wolkis who is a commercial and architectural photographer. Ed has been a professional photographer for 30 years, and has worked with WSB, Turner Broadcasting, CNN, architectural firms, real estate companies and more. Ed also recently authored the book How To Take Photos That Move Houses.

Ed says there is a lot that goes into taking a good photo, especially one of a home. Good photos are essential to selling any home. New Home Source did a study that found listing with a great photo sold 30 percent faster than listings with no photo or a poor photo. A couple of ways to make your photos look better are by making sure the vertical lines are straight and making sure any distractions are out of the frame. Ed’s new book not only gives tips on how you can start taking better photos, but also how to work with a hired professional photographer.

For more on taking photos that will sell your house or for more on the book’s associated real estate course, listen to the full podcast. For more information, visit Ed Wolkis‘ website.
