Lisa and Steve Weibel with Beacon Management Services are this week’s guests on the award-winning Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio show. They talk about Atlanta’s condo market, and their interview is followed by a discussion with Jody Horne of Atlanta Glass & Mirror.
Steve Weibel is the CEO of Beacon Management Services, and he has been in the community association management services for 30 years and in the Atlanta market since 2001. Lisa Simmons Weibel is the president of Beacon Management Services, and she has worked in Atlanta real estate in a variety of capacities for many years.
Beacon Management Services is focused on serving the high-rise condominium attached multifamily market here in Atlanta. In 2008, Atlanta had more than 8,000 condos on the market, and today we are down to just about 450 available condominium units. Needless to say, the economy has definitely changed the needs of Atlanta’s condo market, and Beacon is here to adapt to these changes and improve the market. One of the ways they are assisting and improving their buildings is through lowering their operating costs; this is done through energy saving techniques such as installing LED lighting, installing occupancy sensor lighting in common areas and securing the best rates with the greatest coverage for insurance premiums.

Our next guest is Jody Horne who is a partner with Atlanta Glass & Mirror, a member company of CR Home. Jody is an Atlanta native who has been in the construction industry since graduating from Druid Hills High School.
Atlanta Glass & Mirror is a 14-year-old specialty company offering not just mirrors and shower doors, but also shutters, door locks, bath hardware and wire shelving for all types of builders. Recently, they were named by Rubbermaid as their preferred vendor for the Atlanta market, and they offer their wire shelving and three-quarter inch melamine custom closets.
