Does this super cold Atlanta weather have you dreaming of the holiday cheer and festive activities associated with the northern cities? If you’re looking for an enticing Atlanta event that will instantly whisk you away to a winter wonderland, then you should visit the Rink at Park Tavern, the ice-skating rink’s second appearance at Piedmont Park.

Located in the Park Tavern’s Garden Tent in Midtown, the 3,200-foot ice rink is open seven days a week from Nov. 28, 2013 until Feb. 17, 2014. There are even special sessions each night from 8:30 p.m. until midnight for those 21 and older. To add to the holiday spirit, you can enjoy specialty drinks and desserts both rinkside and at Park Tavern. Ticket prices are $15 Sunday through Thursday and $20 Friday and Saturday, and tickets are good to skate all day long. The rink opens at 4:30 p.m. during the week and at 10:30 a.m. on the weekends.

The ice-skating rink is a feature of the ‘Season of Magic’ in Piedmont Park. The park also offers daily horse-drawn carriage rides that last for twenty minutes a ride, fun carousel rides for the kids, corporate packages for business events and of course, holiday lights!

In addition to the Rink at Park Tavern, Atlanta houses other seasonal ice skating rinks including the Astor Holiday Rink presented by Coca-Cola at the St. Regis Atlanta (open Nov. 27, 2013 to Jan. 5, 2014), the Centennial Olympic Park Ice Skating Rink (open from Nov. 23, 2013 to Jan. 20, 2014) and Have an Ice Day located in Conyers (Nov. 15, 2013 to Jan. 5, 2014).

Seasons Greetings!
