What’s your favorite autumn activity? For most, fall is the perfect time for gathering with family and friends, attending exciting festivals, starting new traditions and enjoying tasty warm soups and chili. That’s right, we said chili! The annual Atlanta Chili Cook Off is back, on Saturday, October 1, 2022, from noon to 5 p.m. at the City of Dunwoody’s Brook Run Park. This fun-filled, family event will feature a kid zone, vendor booths and yummy food. Don’t forget to mark your calendar to attend this fall festival and taste chili from over 65 teams!

This year’s cook off will include local restaurants such as Kaleidoscope Pub, Hobnob and Park 82 as well as Peanut & George’s Pub on Main from Daytona Beach, Florida! Teams from over 25 cities in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and Tennessee will be participating in the amateur competition.

Event organizers say, “We are not sure who enjoys this event more, the competitors dressing up to serve ticket goers as they compete for the most spirited team or the diehard chefs wanting to take home one of the coveted trophies. One thing is for sure. It’s a good time for all.”

Restaurants, caterers, amateur cooks and junior chefs from all over the region compete for $5,000 in cash prizes, trophies, plaques and gift certificates. Registration ends for competitors and businesses on September 15, so sign up your team today!

General admission and VIP tickets are on sale now and both include unlimited tastings of all the delicious chili. While general admission enters at 1 p.m.,  VIP ticket holders gain access at noon with beverages sponsored by Crown Royal, Ciroc Vodka Spritz and Reformation Brewery. Tickets start at $15 for general admission and $30 for VIP all-inclusive food and drink with early entry.
