Got a craving for some barbecue? Then save the date for The Atlanta BBQ Festival. The big pig-out takes place on Saturday, October 2 from noon – 8 p.m. at Atlantic Station’s special event area at 20th Street and Fowler. You can sample a number of different cooking styles and sauces when 50 teams compete at the Atlanta Bar-B-Q Festival. Both competitive BBQ teams and Atlanta’s top BBQ restaurants will gather to compete from more than $12,000 in cash and trophies. Make sure to vote for your favorite BBQ in the People’s Choice Competition and enjoy samples of championship style BBQ.
Tickets are $6 in advance or $10 the day of the event. Kids 12 and under admitted FREE when accompanied by an adult.
Atlanta’s TOP BBQ restaurants will be on site serving their specialties. Enjoy sample sized portions from participating restaurants or grab a full plate of your favorite! The festival will also feature blues and bluegrass music from some of the region’s top performers. Kids of all ages will enjoy interactive games and activities. BBQ Bucks valued at $1 each will be sold on site and used to make purchases at participating restaurant and team booths during the event.
