Atlanta Real Estate Forum congratulates Engel & Völkers Buckhead Atlanta for winning a Gold OBIE for Best On-Site Signage at Eastland Gates, a new Atlanta community of townhomes. Presented by the Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council, the OBIE Awards are the premier awards given in the Atlanta new home construction industry.

Eastland Gates is a gated community perfectly tucked away for ultimate privacy, but its quiet locale requires plenty of signage. The gates are not left open for sales, meaning the signage must give enough information to trigger a call from an interested homebuyer, but not too much to eliminate the need to call.

We had to utilize lead-in signs to help grab attention but were limited to only two lead-ins besides the actual entrance sign. Signage is an extremely large part of marketing and selling a community.  Buyers must be able to find you, know what you are selling and how to get in touch with you. We feel as if our sign package gave us a lead for all of these.

The signage helped us to overcome the issue of reviving a community that had stopped building years ago. It helped drive traffic to us and helped to educate buyers that we were there, how to reach us, and gave a number to call. We had to overcome being in a development that was a restart that did not allow thru traffic.

The Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association’s OBIE Awards celebrates its 38th anniversary in 2018. The awards began in 1980 and have grown throughout the years to include more than 100 building, remodeling, marketing and personal achievement categories. The OBIE Awards are named after the obelisk shape of the actual award given.
